NetXForum
|
I created a forum using the new .NET MVC framework released by Microsoft. It uses
MVC to allow a quick and seamless way to implement themes. It also uses AJAX, which
significantly speeds up page load time and decreases bandwidth and overhead. This
project is available on CodePlex.

MarcusNieves.com
|
MarcusNieves.com is a business website for a well known and experienced salsa instructor.
His site was built in flash which needed search engine optimization. I created an
html version of the site and implemented a forum and a
blog. Within a couple weeks, his site was on the second page of google
for his targeted keywords and climbing. He is on the first page for yahoo and live.com.

Property Tax Search
|
A massive database of nearly all property tax records in NJ for the last 3 years.
The records were acquired through publically available files and imported into a
database. The site incorporates technology to search through records, show them
on a map, and display statistics. It incorporates a billing system and allows users
to sign up through either paypal or a credit card for either a 5 day or 30 day subscription.
It also has a blog engine to post news and updates.

IronPython Resource
|
This site is an example of
blogengine.net, a free, open source blog software. It is an easy to use
software that requires very little technical skill to maintain and manage after
it has been setup. This particular site is a blog of IronPython, an upcoming language
for .net. It shows how the site can be used for tutorials and news, with the ability
to add pictures and files.

Animation-Ink

Animation-Ink is an example of an e-commerce site. It has a custom made slide show,
a portait gallery to display artwork, and the ability to checkout/buy items.

Infobase
|
A knowledge base for helpdesk policies and procedures. (dubbed the Infobase). The
previous tool was antiquated - it had no ability to search, required html knowledge
to update, new sections could not be added easily, and it was difficult to navigate.
I rewrote the application from scratch. I designed and implemented a new database
schema that allowed greater flexibility in managing data. I added an easier navigation,
implemented a search engine, and added an html editor that could be used by anyone.
I also implemented security and an interface that allowed managers to have direct
access to modify and manage articles.
